The Garden Oasis Room is a unique experience for visitors who want to want to be connected with the amazing Hawaiian landscape...without pitching-a-tent! This room is a mini-greenhouse, screened and exposed to the outdoors, on three sides! (the bed feels nearly nestled in the garden's branches and trees. An easy climb up into a full-size, double bed, from a small, private greenhouse sitting area will have you in your own mini "tree house". The room is largely private from other guests, yet open and exposed to a private area of the rainforest. If you enjoy the sounds of the Hawaiian rains, tree frogs and ocean, this space is for you. This room has a small 5 step "ladder" to get up into the bed. A small ceiling-mount fan is provided, above the bed, for comfort and circulation.

The Guesthouse also hosts weekly (each Monday) on-property, gay social events where guests are encouraged to attend/mingle. These events are hosted in the gardens of the property (not inside the house). A licensed massage therapist also lives on-site. We will send you information to book these services upon check-in.
About NeighborhoodThe house is just minutes on foot to Kehena Beach (Hawaii's premiere clothing optional beach). A short drive up the road you will find the hot ponds at Pohoiki, where you may float and soak in the hot salty water. We foster a guesthouse experience where our visitors are encouraged to interact and intermingle, while having the ability to retreat to their own private room spaces. Free coffee is provided in the morning and on-site breakfast options are available for purchase.
Guest can AccessAll of the rooms in the house have access to a shared outdoor hot tub, shared bathrooms, shared full kitchen and common gathering spaces, such as the living room, porches, and dining area.
Get AroundRegardless of whether or not you choose to stay with us you should definitely plan on renting a vehicle for your stay on the Big Island. The island is quite large and the sights and attractions are quite spread out. The island does operate a public transit system, however we do not recommend it as it is somewhat unreliable and only runs a few times per day.
